The 5-Day Apprentice Doctor® Virtual Summer Program for Future Medical Professionals gives high school students an interactive introduction to what studying and practicing medicine can feel like in a live online setting. Designed for students considering a future in field, the program helps them better understand it before making academic decisions.
Each day of the program has two parts. Students begin with a 60 to 90 minute live Zoom session featuring a program speaker, the day’s lecture, and a Q&A. They then use the Apprentice Doctor® For Future Doctor’s Training Kit at home to complete the suggested self-study units independently for the rest of the day. In the next morning’s live session, students can discuss what they learned and ask follow-up questions. By the end of the program, students will have a clearer sense of whether a career in medicine is the right fit and will receive a certificate of participation.
